Roseville is the largest city in Placer County with just around 128,382 people as of 2015. Roseville is best know as the shopping mecca of Placer County. The Galleria at Roseville is an indoor shopping mall with anchor stores such as Nordstrom, Sears, JC Penny and Macy. It is the second largest shopping mall in Northern California. Across the street from The Galleria at Roseville is an outdoor retail center called Fountains at Roseville. This is home to stores like Whole Foods, West Elm, Z Gallerie and many others. Plus, there are several outdoor recreation spots throughout the center such as water fountains for children to play in, fire pits, and a train that circles the shops.
Roseville also has a revitalized historic district known as Vernon St. Here you will find galleries, dining, nightlife and shops. Surrounding the area are many historical homes and is the area has many festivals and events to enjoy.
This suburban area is growing at a steady pace and is also know for its award-winning schools. Just 15 minutes to more rural towns like Auburn and only 25 minutes to Sacramento.
